Krayten, the Aedelon City

The Aedelon host, after entering the shadow realm, originally moved freely throughout their new universe. They were drawn to the power of the spirit stream and traveled alongside its various currents.

Ursa, one of the most powerful of the Aedelons sought to build a city for his solar brethren. In order to do that he needed a foundation to build on. He convinced the elementals Herkulon and Titanis to create a vast rocky plain as a foundation for his city. The two elementals did as the Aedelon asked, and within a hundred years the expansive rocky shelf floated alone in the vast empty universe. Titanus left the Shadow Realm as soon as the job was finished, but Herkulon remained behind in case the Aedelons needed further aid. Soon indeed Ursa would ask for the elementals help in the actual building of his city. The idea came to Ursa to power his city with spirit energy, and with the help of his elemental brother built what would be the foundation of the spirit well. It drew spirit energy into a battery that powered the city.

Gradually other Aedelons joined with Ursa in building his city, using materials made by Herkulon.

Eventually the Aedelons would all cluster within the city. Especially after the spirit well had been built.

Spirit gatherers would swarm out in droves collecting spirit energy to bring back to the spirit well.

Herkulon decided to stay with the Aedelons in their city.

By the time of the Aedelon wars, the city would be a mighty glowing fortification.
